Rajnath Singh upset over 'false reports' about his son

Home Minister and former BJP President Rajnath Singh today said that he was upset with rivals in the party who are spreading 'false stories' about his son in order to tarnish his image.

Singh has expressed concerns to the RSS leadership over this matter. Sources say Rajnath is upset over reports circulating in media that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not interested in giving a ticket to his son due to reports to unsavoury conduct.

In his message to the RSS leadership, the former BJP president said that nothing that is being reported about his son is true.

It is to be noted that the BJP has not given ticket to Pankaj Singh for the UP bypolls though he was being seen as a frontrunner for the Noida seat.

This is not the first time that Rajnath has had differences with senior leaders of the BJP. In 2009, Rajnath had a public spat with Arun Jaitley over his decision to appoint Sudhanshu Mittal as in charge of Assam.
