Amid the hype surrounding the Apple Watch, which was unveiled on Tuesday, Motorola has cleared its stand over a brewing controversy regarding its own smart watch - Moto 360.
Motorola has stressed that t it is not into deceitful practice and never indulges in any wrongful practice when it comes to declaring specifications of its products.
The center of the issue is a controversy that has recently erupted about the battery size that comes with the Moto 360 smart watch. The controversy started when a tech magazine published a report showing that the actual battery found inside the device is labeled '300mAh.'
When Moto had released the Moto 360, it had stated in its official specifications that the battery measurement is 320mAh.
The expose prompted tweets and blog entries that criticize Motorola for the alleged misleading practice.
Before the controversy got big, Motorola wasted no time in releasing a statement to clarify its stand about the issue once and for all. It reiterated that the typical battery capacity of the battery is 320mAh, with a minimum capacity of 300mAh.
The statement added that the typical and minimum capacity of the battery is usually listed at the back of battery. But because of the typically small size of the Moto 360, its battery also has to be smaller compared to all other Motorola devices. The company only listed the minimum capacity and noted it in the label. But actually it has a typical capacity of 320mAh and a minimum capacity of 300mAh.
Moto 360 was first announced during the Google I/O earlier this year and it grabbed headlines in no time.
