The supporters emphasized the point that ACA has achieved the lowest uninsured rate for America since 1997. In contrast, a closer assessment reveals true facts that it has been achieved by pushing patients into government plans such as Medicaid.
It has been found that the number of Americans, who rely on private healthcare plans, continues to drop, and more people are losing their healthcare plans at work.
ACA pushed several people into government exchange healthcare plans that often cost more and restrict which hospitals and local doctors can treat them.
The White House officials have not predicted the number of people, who will enroll on ACA the second year. However, the congressional Budget Office estimated the number to be around 13 million.
It must be noted that people can re-enroll from 15th November and the new prices will vary. Some people enrolling for a second year will find they overpaid the first year and see decreases of 2.5 percent, like in Oregon.
According to a review of 38 states that have finalized rates, some people will find their plans were underpriced and will face average monthly increases of 6 percent. Louisiana residents will see an increase of more than 15 percent.
