Xbox Gamers have to wait, Cortana release pushed to 2016 - While Microsoft is planning to launch a new Windows 10-based interface for all the users of Xbox One this November, the software giant has informed that adding the Cortana digital assistant to the console will take some more time.
The Redmond-based firm is trying a new Windows 10-powered dashboard for the Xbox One. The update has quite a few novel features including integration with Cortana. Microsoft has demonstrated in many videos on how Cortana works with the upcoming dashboard.
Director for programming at Xbox Live, Larry Hryb, who is usually known by his Xbox Live gamertag "Major Nelson," indicates that the intelligent personal assistant will not come along the Xbox Live update that is scheduled for November this year. The reason for the Cortana release delay on Xbox One is still not known.
In spite of the delay in Cortana's launch for Xbox One, the company is working hard on the latest Xbox One experience preview. This weekend, Microsoft will also add additional Xbox One preview members to the dashboard test. The update will bring online notifications that will permit gamers to reply to a message directly from notifications.
