DeMarcus Cousins Trade Rumors: Lakers, Celtics Options If George Karl Wants Move? Kings Say No Deal

DeMarcus Cousins Trade Rumors: Lakers, Celtics Options If George Karl Wants Move? Kings Say No Deal - DeMarcus Cousins has spent all offseason mentioned in trade rumors and now he has come up again for the Sacramento Kings.

Head coach George Karl wants to trade Cousins and if that happens, teams such as the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics or Phoenix Suns could be future landing spots.

Most of the people in the Kings want to trade Cousins and that includes Karl. However, Karl has denied that he is pushing the move, the coach would like to make a deal, as he thinks he can build a better team around a different franchise player.

It must be noted that owner Vivek Ranadive does not want a trade and that could be the only opinion that really matters in all of this. Cousins wrote his opinion on social media after the report came out and the Kings echoed that sentiment, with Ranadive and Vlade Divac writing messages of support on Twitter.

The Kings and Lakers discussed a framework for a trade with Cousins, but things did not go much farther than that. A few weeks ago, Cousins said that the relationship with Karl was getting better.

Cousins had a fabulous season, averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds, and nearly two blocks per game last season. The Lakers was the main team mentioned earlier in trade talks and the Boston Celtics reportedly had interest in Cousins also.

The Kings made some improvements after signing Marco Belinelli, Rajon Rondo, Kosta Koufos and Caron Butler, but that might not be enough in the western conference. Rondo signed a one year deal and is looking to rebound after a tough stretch in Dallas after getting traded.
