Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Vs Redmi Note 3, What's New? Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone today, the Redmi Note 3. This is their first handset which sports a fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi Note 3 announcement comes only 3 months after the unveiling of the Redmi Note 2 , which is quite unusual. Here is a comparison between the two phones.
Both the smartphones are powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 64-bit octa-core SoC and sport 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) displays. The two devices also come with identical camera sensors, the 13-megapixel on the back, and a 5-megapixel up front.
The difference between the two devices is that the Redmi Note 2 is a well-built device made out of polycarbonate, while the Redmi Note 3 is all metal. Also, the Redmi Note 2 doesn't sport a fingerprint scanner, while the Redmi Note 3 does.
Xiaomi has decided to release two RAM variants of the Redmi Note 3, 2 GB RAM variant and 3GB RAM variant with either 16 or 32GB of internal storage. The Redmi Note 2 is powered by a 3,060mAh unit on the inside, while the Redmi Note 3 draws its juice from a rather big 4,000mAh battery.
The two devices share a number of internal specs and also look quite similar in terms of sheer design. The Redmi Note 3 starts from 899 Yuan in China . To purchase the Redmi Note 2 internationally, users can do so via GearBest where the phone is priced at only $79.99 on Black Friday.
