Winter session of Parliament to commence from November 26 - The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, which met at the Parliament House in New Delhi, decided the dates of the upcoming Winter Session - November 26 till December 23.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting. The NDA government is expected to take up important legislations such as Land Acquisition Bill, GST bill, Negotiable Instruments Arbitration Bill and Real Estate Regulation and Development Bill.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu had said that government will decide on the Parliament's Winter Session schedule after Bihar assembly elections.

The BJP has lost the Bihar elections, obtaining only 58 seats with its alliance partners. The Mahagathbandhan led by Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar won the elections with a resounding 2/3rds majority of 178 seats.
