Washington: Microsoft appears to be preparing for the roll out of the Windows 10 Mobile OTA (over-the-air) update to its devices after months of wait.

It has emerged that a few devices like the Lumia 535, Lumia 635, Lumia 735 and a few others will receive the software in the next few days.

Vodafone Italy has announced the Windows 10 Mobile OTA update schedule for Microsoft Lumia devices, according to Windows Central (via Plaffo). The report mentioned that the software will be rolled out to the Lumia 535, Lumia 635, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520 next week, between March 7 and March 13.

The report didn't refer to the software update for other devices like the Lumia 430, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL that are entitled to receive it. Microsoft has also established that the Windows 10 Mobile update will be received by all the Windows 8.0-based phones.

Microsoft Lumia Mexico recently shared on its Facebook that the Windows 10 Mobile update would be released to some of its devices on Feb. 29, but it didn't happen, leaving Lumia users upset. The software was supposed to arrive for eligible devices in December last year, but that hasn't happened months after.

Eagerness for the launch of the software is obvious but Microsoft is yet to reveal its release schedule.
