Trump wants protesters arrested for disrupting his Kansas City rally

Washington: Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump was very unhappy after he was interrupted around a dozen times while making a speech at his rally in Kansas City on Saturday. Trump expressed serious displeasure over the incident, seeking arrest of the protesters.

"I hope these guys get thrown into a jail - they'll never do it again," Trump said. "It'll destroy their record. I don't want to ruin people's lives. But the only way we're going to stop this craziness is if we press charges," he added.

The protesters repeatedly interrupted Trump during his speech at the Midland Theatre. Later, the billionaire businessman accused the protesters to be supporters of Bernie Sanders. He asked the security guards to remove the protesters from the rally venue.

The protests in Kansas City come just a day after Trump was forced to cancel a speech in Chicago due to security issues. In Chicago, Trump supporters clashed with protesters resulting in scuffles and fistfights inside and outside the University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion.

Kansas City police said that pepper spray were used twice outside the event to control the demonstrators. The police arrested four people but there were no serious injuries of property damage.

Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte said on Twitter "most in downtown area lawfully expressed themselves while lawfully assembling." He said a "fogger" was used on two large groups "preparing to fight." Trump said that he spoke to police and "they said why don't you cancel, and I said no we're not cancelling this time!" The police chief said later, "I'm not aware of any discussion about cancelling the event."
