Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf was taken into custody on Friday evening in Austin for public intoxication.

An Austin police official said LaBeouf was drunk in the street on 6th - an area of the city popular for its bars and nightlife - at the time of his arrest. He arrested that LaBeouf is currently in the process of being booked.

The actor was arrested without the use of force, but he showed some belligerence and was uncooperative.

This is not the first legal trouble for the former Transformers star. It may be recalled that LaBeouf was arrested in June at a Broadway show for acting disorderly and being verbally abusive.

A week after that arrest, the actor sought treatment for alcohol addiction and plead guilty to the charges in September.
