Samsung Galaxy A9 Metal-Body Smartphone Pricing, Specs Tipped - Samsung's long-rumored Galaxy A9, which was included in the company listing, last month, has now been seen in leaked promotional images hinting that it may launch soon. The rumors indicate a release early next year priced at around CNY 3,000 (approximately Rs. 32,000).
Earlier this month, the South Korean company launched the second-generation Galaxy A-series smartphones including the Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), and Galaxy A7 (2016). The Galaxy A9 is said to be the biggest sibling of the same series.
The metal-clad Samsung Galaxy A9 is rumored to feature a 6-inch Super Amoled display with a full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. This contradicts the Galaxy A9's company listing that puts forward 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display. The leaked promotional pictures also suggest 13-megapixel on the back and 8-megapixel on the front for the Galaxy A9. Samsung had earlier enumerated the Galaxy A9 with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera on board.
Rest of the leaked specifications are same as the official listing that emerged last month. It is powered by Snapdragon 620 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has 32GB of built-in storage and features 4G LTE support. Other connectivity options of the Galaxy A9 include NFC, GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi.
The best bit of phone's features could be the handset's large 4000mAh battery. In one of the marketing images, the Galaxy A9 is seen with reverse charging support. The handset is likely to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
