King Richard III is now getting a funeral worthy of a monarch, after 500 years.
The king died in 1485 during a battle, but no information was available about his burial place until the discovery of his skeleton by archaeologists in Leicester, England, in 2012.
The skeleton of Richard III was found underneath a parking lot on the former site of a church.
Richard III will now be re-interred on Thursday during a service attended by members of the royal family. The burial will take place just a few steps away from where he was laid to rest more than 500 years ago.
Three days before the reburial, King Richard III's casket will lie inside Leicester Cathedral for public viewing.
On Sunday, many people came out to the battlefield where the monarch was killed. Some visitors were spotted wearing period costumes.
The funeral cortege of the monarch was led by knights wearing armor and on horseback. A private service is also scheduled for Monday at Leicester Cathedral for members of the Richard III society.
