Microsoft to release Windows 10 Mobile in March; Vodafone Italy lists Lumia series to get update

Washington: After several delays, Microsoft on Friday sent an email to its partners confirming that it is finally ready to roll out Windows 10 Mobile this March.

Vodafone Italy listed the Lumia 535, 635, 735, 830, 930, 950, 950 XL, and 1520 phones to get Windows 10 Mobile update.

Venture Beat reported that the rollout of the Windows 10 Mobile has faced several delays. Several media outlets had announced tentative release dates but Microsoft proved all these release dates as inaccurate. But the company has now confirmed a March release date of Windows 10 Mobile in an email to partners. It is expected that the users who have been waiting for the release of the update may finally be able to access Windows 10 Mobile.

Windows 10 Mobile was launched last October along with the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and it soon became the most highly anticipated software update. According to Indian Express, a Vodafone Italy representative published, via the carrier's official Twitter account, the list of phones which are in line to receive the update. It suggests that the Lumia 535, Lumia 635, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930, and Lumia 1520 are also included in the list.

Tech Times featured the latest updates and improvements users will have on Windows 10 Mobile. The features of the new software include a browser, called Microsoft Edge, comparable to Internet Explorer. An improved user interface and a new keyboard would enhance overall user experience.

Besides the Microsoft Lumia phones, the Redmond-based firm is also planning to update other handsets running on Windows Phone 8.1 from companies such as Samsung, HTC, Huawei and more.
