An earthquake shook the state of Oklahoma Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake struck at 7:44 p.m. CST, with its epicenter located one mile west of Cushing, about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The USGS earlier stated it was a magnitude 5.3 earthquake but later lowered that rating to 5.0.
Its epicenter was reported about one mile west of Cushing, and 53 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, CBS affiliate KOTV reported.
The earthquake was less than four miles deep, KOTV added.
The Cushing Police Department reported ?quite of bit of damage? from the earthquake but no further details were immediately available.
The city has a population of about 7,900.
