There have been recent reports about the fate of Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who is said to have been seriously injured in an air strike in March but US has denied it.
It has also been reported that the airstrikes took place in western Iraq.
Reports claimed that IS leader was seriously injured in a coalition-led attack on a three-car convoy on March 18. He is believed to be recovering slowly.
According to an Iraqi official, Hisham al-Hashimi, the attack took place in Al Baaj near the village of Umm al-Rous.
Officials held that three men were supposed to have been slain in the attacks but at that time it was not known if Baghdadi was in one of the vehicles.
The injured leader is alleged to have been making a slow recovery in Al Baaj, 322 kms west of Mosul, as the Americans do not have much reach over there.
However, the Pentagon said that it had no evidence on Baghdadi's fate and also said that last year's rumors of him being injured were wrong.
