Cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan has said he may get “third time lucky” in marriage even though he does not have a good track record in this respect.
“I can’t give you the best advice about marriage because I don’t have a very good track record. Maybe third time lucky,” the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman told guests at the wedding ceremony of a family friend’s daughter in London.
Khan, 64, took to the stage to congratulate the newly weds and speaking on the topic of his marriage he said he hopes he “may be third time lucky,” Dawn reported.
Interestingly he had earlier said that the idea of marrying for the third time is “more open than before”.
Joking about his previous marriages ? to Jemima Goldsmith in 1995 and Reham Khan in 2015 ? he said that he can’t give the couple the best advice about marriage given his history, but he wished them all the best anyway.
He also said to the couple that he hopes their marriage is more successful than his. There have been constant speculations about Khan’s third marriage. Earlier rumours had surfaced of him tying the knot in London in a quiet ceremony, however, they turned out to be false.
