Gurgaon traffic: Commuters stranded as auto, taxi drivers blame Kejriwal govt

Despite the end of the three-day auto and taxi strike in Delhi, commuters travelling to Gurgaon and vice versa are having a nightmarish time due to massive traffic jam on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway on Friday.

Delhi was flooded after heavy rain on Thursday evening and commuters on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway were stuck in a traffic jam for hours.

The situation did not get better on Friday morning either. All kinds of vehicles, from cars to buses and bikes are stranded as heavy rain pounded Gurgaon.

Protesting against the Kejriwal government, Delhi's auto rickshaws and traditional taxis (yellow-black) started an indefinite strike on 26 July, which came to an end on 28 July evening.

The common people of Delhi had a harrowing time during the strike which was called by the auto and taxi unions as the Delhi government failed to pay heed to their demands.
