Curfew was lifted on Tuesday from all parts of Kashmir, except South Kashmir, after 17 days of unrest in the Valley in which 48 people were killed in violent clashes following killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
"There will be no restrictions in any part of district Srinagar on 26 July 2016," Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, district magistrate, Srinagar informed.
Reports however said that the restrictions will continue in South Kashmir.
Curfew was announced across Kashmir on July 9 as a precautionary measure, a day after the killing of Wani in an encounter in south Kashmir's Kokernag area, .
Despite curfew violent clashes between protestors and security forces resulted in death of 48 people, including two policemen. Over 2,000 civilians were also injured in the ensuing violence.
Mobile telephony, mobile internet services and train services continue to remain suspended for 18th day along with schools, colleges and other educational institutions that remained closed due to a strike called by the separatist groups.
The separatists have called for three days of shutdown from Wednesday to July 29.
