Company Recalls Frozen Vegetables Over Listeria Concerns

CRF Frozen Foods based out of Pasco, Washington is voluntarily recalling fifteen frozen vegetable items that have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

On Sat, CRF Frozen Foods announced the recall of frozen vegetable items after routine testing by state health officials discovered the presence of listeria monocytogenes in organic petite green peas and white sweet cut corn.

Listeria infections can cause short-term symptoms such as severe headache, high fever, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea and stiffness in those who are healthy. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
