Charlie Hebdo's latest cartoon involving dead Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi causes huge uproar

Charlie Hebdo's latest cartoon involving dead Syrian toddler Aylan Kurdi causes huge uproar - Charlie Hebdo is known for its bold opinions depicted through their cartoons.

And it has done it again. With their recent cartoon, the French publication is sure to get involved in more controversy.

The cartoon shows Aylan Kurdi, the Syrian toddler who was found dead on a Turkish beach, involved in a sex assault in Germany as an adult suggesting that if the refugee had lived, he would have become a sexual offender.

This came in the backdrop of the planned sexual assault in Cologne, Germany on New Year's Eve by a gang of immigrants.

The cartoon was drawn by Laurent Sourisseau, also known as "Riss," a long-time contributor to the newspaper and its present publishing director. Sourisseau is one of the people who were there when the publication's office was attacked by Islamist extremists in January.

Expectedly, Charlie Hebdo was condemned online for being racist.

However, there's another way to look at it. Charlie Hebdo might be trying to show the attitude of the blame game that the Cologne incidents have started with protesters blaming refugees in their country and leaders for allowing them.
