Tech giant Apple has launched a repair program for iPhone 6 Plus users, whose phone has an issue with the display being called 'touch disease' which can cause the iPhone 6 Plus display to start flickering or the multi-touch function to stop working.
Though it has launched the repair program, but the Cupertino-based company is not doing this repair free of cost. Apple says the issue happens because a device might have dropped too many times on a hard surface, which caused 'further stress on the device.'
Some iPhone 6 Plus users have complained of touchscreen not working, and usually a "thin grey line" appears at the top of the display. But Apple is saying the cause of this is users' carelessness with the device. Apple will be charging $149 for users whose iPhone 6 Plus is exhibiting these problems, provided it is in working order, and the display is not cracked.
Apple also says it will reimburse customers who might have "paid for a service repair related to this issue either through Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider."
Apple also says, "the reimbursement amount will equal the difference between the price paid for the original service and the $149 service price."
