New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Delhi's Okhla constituency, Amanatullah Khan was granted bail by a sessions court today.

Khan was arrested on July 24 by the Delhi Police on charges of threatening a woman.

An FIR was registered in the matter on July 19 in which the woman had alleged that when she went to the MLA's residence to complain about electricity woes of her area, she was threatened and abused.

The woman has alleged that she received rape and murder threats.

The MLA had denied the charges after the FIR was filed. Before his arrest, in a press conference, AAP blamed BJP for trying to frame its MLAs in false cases.
