The voters in the Western Isles, Orkney, Renfrewshire and Shetland have also given their votes against independence.
Of all the voting results declared till now, only 5 cities including Glasgow, Dundee and West Dunbartonshire have voted in favour of gaining independence.
A vote in favour of independence would mark the commencement of complex discussions on the separation of two joined economies leading to an end of the union started in 1707.
The Scotland voters were asked to cast their vote at over 5,000 polling stations either in favour of or against the question "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
Post the voting, a few ballot boxes were brought by helicopter and the remaining ones by boat from remote islands for counting to arrive at the final result expected in the early hours of Friday.
Aberdeen was the counting location where the ballot boxes full of votes were emptied onto tables at sharp 10PM, post the closing of the polls.
