Quasar's photoionization made surrounding filaments glow green: NASA

Hubble Space Telescope of NASA has succeeded in capturing some amazing pictures of an arrangement of frail green objects nearby dead quasars, which glowed brightly before getting blurred away.

NASA said the pictures captured by Hubble demonstrate that the gleaming structures have circling, helical, and interlocked figures. Space experts claim that the analysis of these images will reveal more insight into the confusing conduct of galaxies with vivacious centers.

Bill Keel, analyst from the College of Alabama, and lead creator of the study, said, "However, the quasars are not bright enough now to account for what we're seeing; this is a record of something that happened in the past. The glowing filaments are telling us that the quasars were once emitting more energy, or they are changing very rapidly, which they were not supposed to do."

According to cosmologists, the quasars may be actually co-circling dark openings, which could change the quasar's splendor as they circle one another. They also believe that a procedure known as photoionization is bringing about the once-imperceptible fibers in profound space to shine green. Different components are displayed in the fibers, including hydrogen, helium, nitrogen, sulfur and neon.

Keel added,: "We see these twisting dust lanes connecting to the gas, and there's a mathematical model for how that material wraps around in the galaxy. Potentially, you can say we're seeing it 1.5 billion years after a smaller gas-rich galaxy fell into a bigger galaxy."

NASA says that although the quasars responsible have "turned off," the oxygen clouds will continue to glow for much longer before fading.
