Samsung's Gear S can be easily used without a smartphone. It can be wrapped around the wrist rather than having a traditional flat rear surface.
Gear S has a curved super amoled display with 2-inch diagonal measurement and 360 x 480 resolution. The device also has in-built 3G modem that permit users to receive messages and notifications from calendar, social networks and apps.
The Gear S will allow the users to make and receive phone calls but it is not clear how it will operate since it does not have a phone number.

It is powered by Samsung-owned Tizen OS, which is also present is Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Neo devices. The smartwatch will have 512 of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
