Joan Rivers bequeaths part of her fortune to her dogs

81-year-old comedian Joan Rivers who passed away earlier this month has willed a significant part of her wealth of 150m dollars to her dogs.

The comedian desired that her four dogs should carry on leading a luxurious life even after her death; hence she has left her properties to her daughter Melissa, grandson Cooper as well as her pets.

Her daughter Melissa has plans of selling off her mother's penthouse apartment and another one in the same block as she feels staying in New York will be painful. Joan had bought these apartments for her daughter and grandson to put up in while in the city.

The comedian's pets will now leave her New York apartment worth 35m dollars and will move in with her longtime assistant Jocelyn Pickett.

It has also come to light that the comedian had been busy working for a new show titled Ask Joan with Andy Cohen and his production house before she passed away.
