A new program has been developed by researchers at University of Michigan with an aim to find out cures for the diseases that have been creating problems for humans for centuries.

Named 'Genes for Good', the researchers working on this project have joined with Facebook as they want to include Facebook users in the research.

They have also developed a Facebook App to help collect information from the users. The Genes for Good project promises that your data would be kept secret and will not be used by Facebook.

You can participate in the study of you are over 18 years, a citizen of USA and have an account on Facebook. The study will be done through the Facebook App in the form of easy surveys.

The participants will need to respond to periodic questionnaires about their health. You may also volunteer to provide your saliva to the researchers through the mail.

The researchers will use the saliva to extract DNA and perform scientific analysis on it.
