YU to launch a flagship smartphone today; specs leaked online - The specifications of two new smartphones from Micromax YU - Yu5050 and Yu4711 - which are yet to be launched today, seem to have already leaked online.
The Yu5050 smartphone has a 1.5Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor with 4GB RAM on the side. It includes a 5.2-inch qHD (2560x1440) display, 21MP rear camera, 8MP selfie cam, and 32GB internal storage.
The handset seems to have dual SIM slots, as well as micro SD card support, and running Cyanogen OS based on Android 5.1. The phone is priced at about Rs 20,500, but the price can be expected to change as well.
On the other hand, the Yu4711 has a 1.2Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) with 1GB RAM. It is expected to run on an Android 5.1 version of Cyanogen OS. The price is expected to remain in the under Rs 12,000 range.
Indian import/export site, Zauba, lists the Yu5050 incorporating dual-SIM support, microSD card support and a 5.2-inch display. The Micromax Yu5050 phones were shipped from China, and had a declared value of Rs. 20,295-20,752. It must be noted that import/export website price listings are only declared values, and generally are not accurate reflections of actual market price.
On the other hand, the Micromax Yu4711 is seen featuring a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. It is also likely to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based CyanogenOS.
