Private space agency SpaceX on Friday released onboard footage after the landing of Falcon 9's first stage on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
The landing was significant as it was the first successful drone ship landing for the private spaceflight company owned by Elon Musk. The company succeeded after making five attempts.
Besides the onboard footage, SpaceX has released crisp 4K video of the landing. The company has said that it is not going to be last barge landing as the company has planned more such landings in the future to refine the technique. SpaceX's aim is to land reusable rocket stages on land and water after trips to space.
Musk appeared highly pleased with the latest attempt and he tweeted a YouTube video that paired landing footage with The Lonely Island's 2009 classic "I'm on a boat."
