Bollywood director Shirish Kunder landed in trouble on Friday for criticising the Centre's decision to appoint Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath as the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
An FIR has been filed against the director for his tweets where he allegedly called Yogi Adityanath a "goon".
In a series of tweets that are now deleted from his timeline, Kunder wrote, "Hoping a goon will stop rioting once he's allowed to rule is like expecting a rapist to stop raping once he's allowed to rape."
He further said, "Going by the logic of making a goon as CM so that he behaves, Dawood can be CBI director. And Mallya - RBI Governor."
Now an FIR has been registered in Hazratganj against filmmaker and Farah Khan's husband Shirish Kunder for his tweet against UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
However, Shirish has gone ahead and made a public apology through his handle.
