The list of exploding phones is getting longer. After Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 burning issue, now a Reliance Jio Lyf phone has been reported to have burst into flames.
A Twitter user, Tariq Sadiq, shared photos of a burned Lyf phone on the microblogging website. The company, on its part, quickly responded to the complaint and said that it is investigating the issue.
A company spokesperson said that they "will conduct a through investigation in the matter.
"LYF range of phones are designed and manufactured with global standards by some of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile phones. Each phone goes through a stringent quality control process.
"We are concerned about the incident reported in social media and are taking the matter seriously. We are assessing the cause and will conduct a thorough investigation in the matter. Customer safety is paramount to us and, based on our findings, we will take appropriate action," a Lyf spokesperson informed India Today Tech.
Before this incident, in September, Gizbot reported a similar incident. A user had reported that a Lyf Water 1 phone exploded in his hands while he was browsing Facebook. The phone was not plugged into a charger.
