Rajinikanth to romance Radhika Apte in his 159th film - After featuring opposite Bengali legend Soumitra Chatterjee in the short film Ahalya, actress Radhika Apte will be sharing screen space with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in his next film.
Talking to Hindustan Times the 29-year-old actress said, "It will take some time to sink in. I don't think there is anybody bigger than Rajini sir. And the director, Pa Ranjith, is exceptionally good. So I was extremely thrilled that it has worked out. And I am super excited to finally meet Rajinikanth."
Radhika who has several southern language films to her credit is the fourth Bollywood actress who will star opposite Rajinikanth after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Enthiran, Deepika Padukone in Kochadaiiyaan and Sonakshi Sinha in Lingaa.
Last month, there were reports that Radhika was in discussion for the role. The unnamed film, directed by the two-film-old Pa Ranjith, is Rajinikanth's 159th movie and will begin shooting in Malaysia this month.
Radhika Apte has several successes this year in her kitty apart from Ahalya. She was seen in Badlapur and Hunterrr and has Manjhi: The Mountain Man coming up.
