RSS bids adieu to khaki shorts, switches to trousers

Nagpur: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers on Tuesday said goodbye to their trademark khaki shorts and formally donned their new uniform on the occasion of the organisation's foundation day.

From today, the RSS volunteers will wear brown trousers, white shirt, black cap, and brown socks.

During the winter season, they will also wear dark brown sweaters.

The RSS had started selling its new uniform, brownish trousers, and brownish socks, to its volunteers last month.

The new uniform was adopted after a decision in RSS's Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Rajasthan's Nagaur in March this year replacing khaki half pants with brownish trousers and khaki socks with brownish socks.
