North Korean defense minister executed for disrespecting Kim Jong Un

Seoul's National Intelligence Service (NIS) informed the parliamentary committee in Seoul that North Korea has executed its defence minister for dozing off at a military event and thereby showing disrespect to country's leader Kim Jong Un who was present at the military event.

It was reported on Wednesday that Hyon Yong Chol was accused of treason and was executed on April 30 in the presence of hundreds of North Korean officers.

Hyon Yong Chol was the chief of the nation's People's Armed Forces. He is believed to have communicated multiple times with North Korean dictator.
