Microsoft fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the Microsoft Surface Phone in 2017. There is still no announcement from the Redmond-based company but tech enthusiasts are hopeful that Microsoft will launch the smartphone.
Whenever the Surface Phone is introduced by Microsoft, it is likely to come fitted with "Windows 10 Mobile" hardware. Recently reports claimed that the Surface Phone project was in the works under the team of Microsoft executive Panos Panay.
The highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Phone would reportedly function as a smaller version of the Surface devices but with the ability to make calls because of the Windows 20 Mobile hardware.
Expected to arrive in April 2017, the Microsoft Surface Phone is said to come in three variants: the consumer model, business edition and "enthusiast" variant. The last version is said to be the most high-tech model of the Microsoft Surface Phone.
There will also be different storage options to choose from ranging from 64 GB to 128 GB while the RAM will start at 4GB to 6GB. It is also expected to come with a 20MP camera equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens for better photo captures and video shots.
There are also rumors that the Surface Phone will come with a Snapdragon 830 processor which is set to be released during the first quarter of next year. The USB-C feature could also be included in the device.
Microsoft Surface Phone is also believed to come with a fingerprint sensor on its display. There will also reportedly be support for Win32 applications when the Microsoft instalment launches next year.
