Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo today launched its latest smartphone, the A526, for the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 9,499, the phone will available for sale across India from April 5.
The Lenovo A526 is a dual-SIM phone which runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The phone boasts of a 4.5-inch display with a (FWVGA) 480x854 pixel resolution. A quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor provides power to the device. It has got a 1GB RAM too.
The rear camera of the smartphone is of 5-megapixel, while the front-facing camera is of 0.3 megapixel. The internal storage capacity of Lenovo A526 is 4GB and it is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The Lenovo A526 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, AGPS and 3G connectivity. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery. It is available in Blue colour variant.
Commenting on the announcement, Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India, said in a statement, "Out of the 876 million mobile phone users in India, about 10 percent of the users own a smartphone. However, today there is an influx of devices specifically targeted at this untapped segment in fast-growing markets like India. With the Lenovo A series range, we are looking at revolutionizing the concept of budget phones in India by offering consumers a superior smartphone experience at an affordable price point."
