Instagram launches on Windows 10 Mobile, gets video support

Instagram for Windows Phone has hardly been updated since it was first launched almost two and a half years ago without video support. Instagram users on Windows Phone resort to third-party alternatives to upload their videos, but today they're finally receiving the update they deserve.

Facebook is releasing Instagram for Windows 10 Mobile, and it comprises video support and access to Instagram's direct messages.

Instagram has also included access to its Explore feature and account switching, so Windows Phone users won't feel like they're being ignored anymore. While the app is being updated today, Windows 10 Mobile is necessary to take advantage of it.

Microsoft is presently in the process of upgrading existing devices, and you can check to see if your device is ready by installing the Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows Store. Instagram for Windows 10 Mobile is releasing today in Microsoft's Windows Store.
