Indrani Mukerjea - prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case - has been discharged from JJ Hospital on Thursday and was sent back to jail. Doctors treating her said that she tested negative for H1N1, dengue and malaria.
Mukerjea was admitted on Wednesday evening with complaints of fever and dropping platelet count. The doctors had conducted tests to find the reason behind the dip in platelet count.
She was said to have been suffering from body ache and fever for almost a week. The reason for the drop in platelet count was post-fever thrombocytopenia, Dr. Lahane said.
She was admitted to the same hospital earlier this month in a critical condition after collapsing in the jail. Mukerjea had allegedly overdosed on antidepressant pills and was hospitalized for 4 days, according to the doctors.
