I raped Surat woman, confesses Narayan Sai

In a sensational disclosure, controversial spiritual guru Asaram Bapu's son Narayan Sai, has reportedly admitted that he had raped Surat woman. Gujarat Police today said that

during interrogation, Narayan also admitted to having relationship with at least eight other women.

Surat Police commissioner Rakesh Asthana said that Narayan also accepted that he was the father of Jamuna's son, as claimed by the woman.

"During our intense questioning, Sai has more or less accepted the rape allegations leveled against him by one of the two (Surat-based) sisters. It has also come to light that he fathered a child with one of his sevikas (disciple)," Asthana told reporters.

It is to be noted that Sai is currently in police custody, which ends today. He was arrested from Delhi-Haryana border on December 4 after remaining on the run for 58 days. Sai was absconding since the filing of a rape case against him by a Surat woman, whose elder sister has accused Sai?s father Asaram of rape.

Asaram is already cooling his heels behind bars at Jodhpur Central Jail in yet another case of sexual assault, filed against the controversial spiritual guru by a minor girl in Jodhpur.

Hours after being arrested by a joint team of Delhi and Gujarat police Narayan had said that the cases against him were false and he was being framed. I am being framed, Sai told his supporters after he was brought to Ambedkar hospital in Delhi for medical examination.

Sai was recently declared a "proclaimed absconder" by a Gujarat court. Arrest warrant was issued by a Surat court in Sai's name in connection with the FIR on October 28 under Section 70 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
