American video game publisher, Activision, will release the sequel to Bungie's shooter Destiny in the year 2017.
Currently, Destiny has more than 25 million registered users, who have logged 3 billion hours playing the game, Activision said.
Previously, Activision said that it will refrain from launching any large-scale expansions, instead focusing on live events and microtransactions. But with this latest development, it seems that Destiny fans and supporters have something to look forward to in 2017.
Activision further added that this year would bring a new Call of Duty and Skylanders games from original developers Infinity Ward and Toys For Bob, but no more Guitar Hero games.
