CM Kejriwal to visit Okhla today, angry residents to protest with black flags

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit Okhla area today in connection with the inauguration of a transformer facility.

However, the residents of the area, upset at the CM not fulfilling any of the promises made for the area during his poll campaign, are planning to protest and may show black flags to the CM on his arrival.

We spoke to a some of the residents, who complained about the pathetic condition of the area with broken, waterlogged roads, dirt and filth everywhere, no new schools opened as promised and much more.

It is easy to see why people are disillusioned as the condition of roads seems to have worsened in past 3 years, since the AAP government came into power.

Residents also complained about the local AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan saying that all he does is mislead both the CM and the residents who seek his help in improving the condition of the area.

In the picture which is from C Block Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, you can see the road is broken and the sewer is overflowing and the whole road looks like a drain.

This has been the condition for the last six months but the MLA/councillor are not bothered about it, residents complain.

The CM is set to arrive at 4 PM today in Okhla today and may face strong resistance from the people. It is high time he takes notice and reconnect with the people who brought him to power.
