After a film and book being released on the high-profile Aarushi Talwar murder case appeared to be sympathetic to her convicted parents, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has uploaded court orders related to the case on its website.
While the CBI was tight-lipped on the release of the film and book, senior officials said orders and judgments of various courts were self-explanatory.
The Ghaziabad special court found dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar guilty of killing their daughter Aarushi and domestic servant Hemraj.
The 210-page exhaustive order by the then special judge Shyam Lal has gone into arguments of defence and prosecution for a year before the dentist couple were sentenced for life for the crimes.
The CBI started from the beginning of the case and uploaded all the court orders and judgements that include cognizance order of the special CBI court in Ghaziabad to final conviction by the sessions court. The bail application filed thereafter by the accused and order of the Allahabad High Court has also been uploaded.
There was no proof of any entry into Talwars' residence in Jalvayu Vihar Noida on the night of May 15-16, 2008, when Aarushi and Hemraj were killed in the flat, Lal had said. The judge cited 26 reasons for proclaiming the dentist couple guilty and sentencing them to life imprisonment.
After its first investigations, the CBI could not stand in the court of law, thus carried out a fresh probe after which it had filed a closure before a designated court.
The designated court rejected the closure report saying there was enough circumstantial proof against the Talwars and committed the case to the sessions court in Ghaziabad.
